
Camp sites remain open and available to Trek NYC groups all summer long. Sitting alongside our small falls, this site is quickly becoming a guest favorite Whiskey River has 2 tents sharing the same campsite making it perfect for. Reeves Cub World boasting a skilled staff and exciting program tailored appropriately for Cub Scouts. In July and August, Alpine operates John E. Laermer Activity Center includes a 24′ indoor and 32′ outdoor climbing wall and a low COPE course. Alpine Scout Camp also offers a large range of weekend activities like Archery, orienteering courses, and various in/out of camp hiking trails. We have everything from small tenting sites to a conference center with lodging for over 40 people.Įvery weekend from September to June, Alpine Scout Camp hosts a large number of events: District Camp-O-Rees, Wint-O-Rees, Klondike Derbies, and Regional and National Conferences.

Alpine offers short term camping to Scouts and a selection of facilities to suit any group’s needs. Campers at Moses Gulch Campground enjoy the peace of a small campground along a beautiful mountain river. in 1940, for the purpose of establishing a weekend camp for the New York City Boy Scouts. Mountain Home State Demonstration Forest contains nearly 5,000 acres of forest and streams adjacent to Sequoia National Forest east of Porterville. Just outside of NYC, roughly 10 miles north of the George Washington Bridge, Alpine Scout Camp is over 700 Acres of wooded camping property hidden off the Palisades.
